SOFT NOTEBOOK COMPUTER

(1990)

The second Soft Series design, the Soft Notebook Computer, is influenced by the traditional paper notebook. Like the fine-quality version, the computer is covered with soft-padded leather to give it a formal elegance and touchable appeal while providing protection for electronic components. Opening the first flap reveals the soft, tactile rubber keypad and thin LCD display screen. Further opening reveals storage for diskettes, pockets for paper and business cards; and an electronic pen for computer sketch pad functions. The screen adjusts like a viewing easel with a velcro tab. Flipping the screen onto its back allows it to be used as a laptop clipboard.
