PERIODENT ELECTRIC: Gum Massager & Toothbrush

(1988)

Dual-action bristle heads make this dental system unique in design. A crank shaft lowers and raises alternate rows of bristles engaged in a counter swinging motion, simultaneously lifting the gums to cleanse the teeth underneath. This motion massages the gums, removes plaque, helping to fight gum disease while avoiding damage to tooth enamel. The smooth, bulbous head of each bristle improves on the traditional roughly cut blade. The design also reduces the unpleasant vibration of other electric toothbrushes. The small size and rounded triangular shape of the handle make it easy to grip for both children and the aged. Pastel colors in the brush head enhance its appeal for children.
