LUMB-R CHAIR

(1981)

Many office workers lean over their desk for extended periods of time, commonly developing lower-back problems or spinal pains in the lumbar region. This chair incorporates solutions to these work-related injuries into its seat and cut-out backrest design. All movements are automatic, making every seating posture possible without difficult mechanical adjustments. Optimal weight distribution is achieved when the sitter leans back, the center of gravity shifts with him, relieving muscle and spinal-cord strain. The rounded edges of the chair provide maximum blood circulation relief. Designed as a sturdy, attractive line of articulated seating that ensures the worker’s comfort, the LUMB-R chair also increases the possibility for more efficient and productive work.
