The poster for The Museum of Modern Art exhibition is composed of thirty-six transparent plexiglas boxes. Contained in each arc an identical set of loose die-cut figures representative of the design objects in the exhibition. Scaled in their individual containers, each set of cutouts presents a unique composition to the viewer, implying the infinite range of variations possible within the new domes- tic landscape. The folded-vellum book cover works as a pocket for the same die-cut elements allowing the objects the freedom to move about in random combinations. Every time the reader opens or moves the hook, the graphic relationship is altered, suggesting both the influence and impact rh.ir man has over the environments he creates for himself.
