DORSAL CHAIR

(1978)

Like Vertebra, Dorsal was created with the concept that a chair must function as both an ergonomic design and as a cultural artifact. Economically-minded this institutional chair is designed to provide ease of adaptability to the range of the contemporary office worker’s seating positions. Its automatically-functioning backrest and overall structure employs both ergonomic and orthopedic research, resulting in the relaxation of the sitter’s body. The minimal design becomes a part of the worker in motion rather than an overwhelming visible structure.
